Open Hands: Community Outreach in LA, Atlanta, & Washington D.C.

It is our honor to present our first annual multi-city community outreach campaign Open Hands that will serve communities in need  this holiday season. For the last few years Nicole Baptist, creator of Ms. Nix, has created hygiene kits and collected additional items to hand out on the infamous skid row in Los Angeles.  As the success of Ms. Nix in the Mix continues to grow so does our reach and we are reaching out our hands to organizations in Atlanta and Washington D.C. to assist them in gaining more goods and volunteers for the people they serve this holiday season. Additionally Nicole will be accepting items for the hygiene kits and is happy to receive volunteers to help spread the love in skid row.

We are looking for  total of five organizations to feature  in Atlanta and the Washington D.C. areas that serve in one of the following areas:

  • Battered Women
  • Disadvantaged Youth
  • Homeless
  • Hospice Care
  • Mental Health
  • Orphans/Foster Care
  • Recovering addicts

As a  featured organization we are happy to spread the word about your efforts through a featured post that includes a bio, statement, and photos of your efforts throughout the holiday season. If you are volunteering with one of these organizations, we invite you to submit a brief story about your experience to be featured during the holiday season. If you would like to join Nicole on skid row please send your information through our contact us   page or to send clothing, blankets, shoes, and items for the hygiene kits please send them to the address provided below.

P.O. Box 2004 La Puente, CA 91746

We look forward to sharing the love with your help within our communities this holiday season!
