R.I.P. to the Dumb Girl

We all know her too well. Either you’ve been her in the past or came across her a few times in life. Countless times she’s relived the same situation time after time. It’s acceptable to live and make mistakes along the way, but there comes a time when it becomes a plain habit. I’m all with having to know better to do better, but there comes a time when enough is enough. I remember when I had this one [platonic] girlfriend who was just a pure mess. She would relive the same relationship with different men. It was apparent that she was the issue because the result never changed. Self-love and responsibility is highly important with growth and there comes a point when being the dumb girl gets old. No sympathy.

I can admit I’m no angel and made my mistakes along the way. Eventually enough was enough. I didn’t want to deal with the same mess anymore. However you allow a person to treat you is exactly what you will get. If you don’t like something say it with clarity. Notice I said clarity and not with animosity. Delivery of anything you say is important. People perceive things differently and your point should always be made by the conclusion.

With that being said she and I are no longer friends, which isn’t a bad thing because I believe in breaking up with friends. Sometimes we grow apart from those we grew up with and the connection is lost. What dissolved our relationship the most was her lack of self-responsibility. We are all accountable for our actions good or bad, so enough just became enough again. I still wish her the best , our friendship just ran it’s course. We may not be able to save every dumb girl, but we can always reduce the number from being one!

The sad thing is that there are so many girls that are “the dumb girl” and don’t even know it. I also feel that men understand actions more then words. So no matter how many times you say “I’m done with you” they won’t really think you are done until you stop answering their phone calls and truly eliminate them out of your life. It’s a shame that you two aren’t still friends because you might have been her only hope in changing her ways.
    Great blog! So true!
